BardCanvas updates ~ June 16, 2017: several performance updates for users without memcached and a crucial change to the updates client

Some of the premium modules we're working on (still in alpha stage but actually in production) needed a deep optimization round, so we needed to extend some of the base modules in order to properly inject data preloaders.

On the other hand, the updates client had a big change: rsync is no longer used for syncing files. This was a neccessary step for shared hosting users on CloudLinux servers, in which rsync is not available by default.

Everything is already available for download and our GitHub repositories are updated.

And, as you may have noticed, we stepped back from calling these notifications "daily updates", since, well, we're not able to keep up releasing updates that often.

List of updates on this round

  • Earlier changes for memcache were removed due to inconsistences that were causing some overload on high traffic servers.

Other news

We finally launched a public press release and with the kind help of an anonymous sponsor we relied on crowdfundingpr.org for the job. We hope to reach more people on our campaign at KickStarter. If you're interested on getting some or all of the premium modules released by LAVA SoftWorks, you're still on time to back our campaign  just click here and take a look!

That's all for the moment. Now that the previous updates are in place we'll take time to rest a bit and then continue adding contents on our website.
